A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Maisie and I would love to come help out you and your family. I have a lot of experience working with kids outside of babysitting, as I've interned at a preschool in California, worked as a teacher's assistant at a middle school in Connecticut, tutored high schoolers in writing in NY, and worked as a camp counsellor/swim teacher at a camp in Maine. I volunteer with various child-focused organizations, but most avidly with the Pajama Project, a program through which volunteers read to kids in the foster system. Reading with kids is one of my favorite activities to do while sitting! I've babysat for two families with twins (one with boys and one with girls), and both families had a third, younger child. I additionally have experience with children with ADHD, and on the autistic spectrum. I've done "date night" sitting for a large number of families, with kids ranging from infant-12 years old, but most of my long term sitting as been for families with kids between 4 and 9.
