One defining moment in my substitute teaching experience occurred during a trimester when I introduced 'silly time' before lessons, allowing kids to unwind. One child, struggling to focus and visibly upset, confided in me about his ADHD diagnosis, feeling ashamed and different. I shared my own journey with ADHD, explained that I had struggled at his age but learned to reframe it as a 'superpower', and use it as a unique strength rather than a weakness. Empowered by this perspective shift, he returned to the classroom with newfound confidence, standing tall and ready to learn that day's lesson.

I have taught as many as 12 children in a class-room setting and as few as 2 while providing private teacher services.
