A little bit about me

I’m a 28 year old career nanny with 6 plus years of professional childcare experience seeking a long-term infant nanny position in San Francisco. My background includes several long-term placements with SF families, as well as experience working in a group home and serving as a foster parent, giving me a strong foundation in responsive, individualized care.

My caregiving style incorporates RIE and Montessori principles, with an emphasis on respectful caregiving, secure attachment, age-appropriate independence. I also understand that excellent nanny care extends beyond direct childcare. I’m comfortable supporting the needs of the whole household, including children’s laundry, meal preparation, organization, stocking children’s supplies, coordinating activities, and helping keep the household running smoothly.
I’m dependable, proactive, communicative, and comfortable working collaboratively with parents. I’m looking for a family who values a professional, long-term nanny relationship!

"Mary was honestly just the best, she was always very sweet and loving. I could tell that she loves her job and being with kids. Mary was always very punctual and professional. Also, she often went above and beyond doing things around the house and cleaning. I highly recommend her and youre lucky to have her. 10 out 10"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a part-time nanny for a nanny share that I have been with for over five years. I began caring for the children when they were infants and have had the opportunity to support both the children and their families through each stage of development and major milestones, including teething, introducing solids, sleep and routine transitions, potty training, starting preschool and school.

Throughout my long-term positions, my role has extended well beyond direct childcare. I have traveled with families, coordinated busy schedules and extracurricular activities, managed school pickups and transportation, planned age-appropriate outings and activities, and helped families navigate changes in routines and household needs.

I maintain clean and organized children's spaces, handle children's laundry and meal preparation, keep household and childcare essentials stocked, run errands as needed, and proactively address tasks before they become an issue.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Imagination play
Arts and crafts
Scavenger hunts
Library/ story times
Walk/ hikes/ beach
Picnics at the park
Music in golden gate park
Zoo/ B.A.D.M/ California academy of science
Playgrounds
Local community meets up, play times and group outings
Story telling and creative play
Baking/ cooking/ shopping together
Household tasks/ cleaning/ sorting things

My experience with special needs children...

I have both professional and personal experience supporting special needs children. I previously worked in a group home caring for children with autism and other developmental needs, where I provided patient, structured, and individualized care while supporting communication, emotional regulation, daily routines, and independence.

I also grew up with a brother with severe autism, giving me a lifelong understanding of the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting care to each individual. These experiences have made me an observant, compassionate, and flexible caregiver who understands that every autistic child has their own communication style, strengths, sensory needs, and preferences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite moments as a nanny are the little reminders that I’ve become an important person in a child’s life. I love arriving to excited hugs and hearing that I was missed, but what means even more is when a child tells me about something that made them think of me while we were apart. Sometimes they repeat one of my silly sayings, save a story because they couldn’t wait to tell me, or their parents share that they were talking about “Mary” when I wasn’t there. Those moments are incredibly special to me because they show the genuine connection we’ve built. Creating relationships where children feel safe, loved, understood, and excited to spend time with me is one of the most rewarding parts of being a career nanny.

I’m 19 years old and currently attend the University of Arizona online, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’ve always loved being around kids and really enjoy taking care of them and making sure they’re safe, happy, and having fun. I have experience working with kids ages 5–10 through San Francisco Recreation and Parks summer camps, where I spent my days supervising campers, playing games, doing activities, and helping out with field trips. I’m a very caring, patient, responsible, and outgoing person. I love getting to know kids and their different personalities, and I’m always happy to play, help with activities, or just be someone they feel comfortable around. I’m really interested in nannying because I genuinely enjoy working with kids and would love to help out a family while doing something I enjoy.
