More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I previously worked at my local YMCA in the childcare center. I was able to work with various ages of children that ranged from infants to pre-teens. In my time there, I learned many skills, including patience, teamwork, understanding, empathy, and how to engage in good listening.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Quality time is crucial for me. When I am with children, I value their time and try to incorporate activities that benefit them. I try and do more activities that stray away from technology and screen time. I like to take them on walks, do crafts, read, play with toys, and play outside. Also, I make an effort to try and include learning activities in my time with the children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most essential part of being a nanny is having patience and understanding. I like to incorporate the Montessori method, and instead of just telling a child no, I like to explain why it may be wrong what they are doing. Talking with children is essential, and I always want to be kind to them while keeping their feelings in mind.
My experience with special needs children...
Sadly I do not have much experience working with special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when I arrive at the house, and the children are excited to see me. I believe in establishing good relationships with the children and creating a bond. Knowing that there is trust is essential.
