Hi!! My name is Melanie and I am a 21 year old college student majoring in astrophysics and quantum physics. However, my passion lies in the care of children. I am the truest form of myself when I am nurturing and caring for someone. Childcare is so much more than babysitting to me. I have done my job right when any child under my care feels safe, respected, and proud of themselves. My job as a caretaker of your child is my number on priority, however you are also a big part of that. As your child's caretaker, half of my job is making sure the parent feels completely comfortable and supported. Parenthood can be consuming, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Thats where I come in. My job description can be summed into one sentence: to make the parent feel comfortable enough to enjoy outside duties and hobbies while ensuring their precious child is in careful and kind hands. The most important part about being a nanny...

The moment that I knew childcare was my purpose was when I held a sweet baby girl for the first time. She was five months old and her mother had asked me to feed her. Looking down at her, I felt the weight of the world lift off of my shoulders. Suddenly I knew what I was meant for. I proceeded to babysit and care for this child and her toddler age cousin for six months. Each day was better than the last. Providing for these children gave me the biggest sense of pride and joy to know that I could be a positive influence on them. They will probably never remember the impact they had on me, but I will never forget them. I will forever be grateful to these two precious girls for teaching me my purpose and showing me, just how beautiful life can be when you are caring for someone else.
