A little bit about me

Hi! I am a nanny with 9 years of childcare experience, including 4 years of nannying, and l am seeking my next position. Most of my experience is with infants and toddlers from 6 weeks to 5 years old. I have been with my current family since their daughter was 5 months old (she is now 18 months!).
My approach is based in RIE, Montessori principles, and positive discipline. I respect children as capable individuals, giving them space for self-directed play and building skills at their own pace tailoring my support to their individual needs. I work through big emotions by offering a calm, steady presence and setting clear, gentle boundaries. My own childhood! I’ve grown up surrounded by younger cousins. I also have a litter brother 7 years younger than me that I took every where. Childcare has always been in my life it’s second nature to me!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like exploring nature , sensory play, arts and crafts , but by far my favorite activity to do with children is baking. Whether it’s an infant watching while I explain what I’m doing or teaching a toddler how to crack an egg. I think it’s such a lovely thing to be able to share with the kids I am with!
