More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I began my chocolate career in preschools in the infant - 3 year old classrooms.
I worked in the public school system as an Early Childhood Educator.
I then traveled abroad and worked with a nonverbal child from ages 3-8.
Since 2015, I have worked solely as a professional career nanny. I found this career suits me best as I long to develop close relationships with the entire family. I most enjoy sharing my expertise in sleep training, food aversions, and behavioral sciences to help families create a healthy and engaging home dynamic.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Dancing with scarves, singing, painting, sensory bins, science experiments, instrument explorations, fine motor development, learning all about ourselves, our bodies and the world around us.
Outdoors, walks, nature encounters, bubbles, bike rides, going to the park, experiencing nature in various settings, using our bodies for big movements (Gross motor skills) running, jumping, rolling, kicking balls, and so much more.

The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most about being a nanny is the safety of the children and the keeping with the parents schedule. Consistency is of paramount importance and I strive to be a true asset. I want to help your family function smoothly, thus I offer laundry help, kitchen clean-up, meal preparation and maintaining sanitized and organized play areas.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Whenever I see them learning new things it truly excites me. I find it sweet when they mimic me. I was wearing capris one day and the toddler pulled up her pant leg up to look like me! That really tickled me. Just last week, I had a 1 year old, who normally cries when his parents leave, calm down very shortly after because he liked my singing. That was heart warming too! I love all my little munchkins so much!

BIO
I have 14 years of professional child care experience including infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-k, school age, camp counselor, and assistant director positions. I have also worked with families for private care including after school care and evening care. I believe in positive reinforcement and redirection as well as setting attainable goals. While I do believe in schedules and structures I also believe kids need to be kids. I do not believe in sitting children in front of televisions and iPad's, I am old school and enjoying reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and engaging in pretend play. I love sports, physical activities, Barbie s, Lego's, board games and using our imaginations to be whatever it is we want to be! My goal is to ensure the safety of your children as well as providing a fun and educational environment while maintaining a clean home and following any schedule you may provide.

2020 VCU grad with eight years of experience ranging from infants to teenagers! I consider myself very punctual and a clear communicator. Arts and crafts and outdoor activities are my favorite to do with children. I grew up with three significantly younger siblings so I’ve basically been a babysitter my entire life. My current full-time position is coming to an end, as their youngest has been offered a spot in their dream school. Hoping to find another family to share my love and care with soon.
