More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I currently work in a daycare where I care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diaper changes, playtime, and helping with daily routines. I have experience managing multiple children at once while keeping a safe, structured, and positive environment. I’m very patient, attentive, and comfortable handling different ages and personalities. I truly enjoy working with kids and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a variety of fun and engaging activities with children, including arts and crafts (like painting and coloring), sensory play, and introducing basic sign language. I also like reading books, playing interactive games, and encouraging creativity through hands-on activities. For outdoor time, I enjoy taking kids outside to play, explore, and stay active. I always try to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment that supports learning and development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for the child. It’s important to build a strong bond with both the child and the family, while also supporting the child’s growth, development, and daily routine. I believe in being patient, attentive, and consistent so children feel comfortable, secure, and cared for.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have formal work experience with special needs children, but I do have personal experience, as my younger sister has autism. This has helped me develop patience, understanding, and awareness of different communication and developmental needs. In my daycare role, I have also worked with children who are developing at their own pace. I’m always willing to learn and adapt to best support each child’s individual needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts of working with children is getting to watch them grow and learn new things. I love the little moments, like when they start responding to their name, learning new words, or showing more of their personality. I also enjoy the cuddles and building that sense of comfort and trust with them. Seeing their progress and knowing I played a part in it is really rewarding.

Hi! I just finished my 2nd year in nursing school at UVA and I'm looking for childcare jobs over the summer.
Through my program I am certified in infant and pediatric CPR, in addition to first aid and choking prevention.
I've babysat since I was 14 and spent last summer as a camp counselor! I have experience working with children 9 months to 13 years old. I'm also working at a church nursery over the summer on Sundays.
I love to read, journal, be outside, and spend time with my friends! I love children and hope to one day be a pediatric nurse.

Hi. I am a former paramedic and mom of four grown children. I value safety, fun, and respecting the individual needs of the children in the families I care for. I prefer a screen free environment where children are encouraged to explore and learn. I am very laid back and choose to solve problems by slowing down and listening more. I look forward to talking to you and learning more about your family.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Charlottesville, VA: Emily A.
I grew up with a 7 year age difference between me and my little sister, and was constantly helping my mom take care of her. I babysat a lot throughout high school and continue to in my adult years to help my friends with their kids. I adore kids and find them easy to communicate with. I believe one of the best memories to have as a kid is experiencing the fun of being outdoors or using your imagination instead of staring at a screen all day. I love a board game and a good kids book too for the rainy days.
