More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of hands-on experience caring for children of all ages. Growing up in a large family with five siblings gave me daily experience helping care for younger children, including playtime, meals, routines, and supervision. I also completed two years of Child Development in high school, where I learned age-appropriate care, safety, and early learning skills. During my second year, I was a teacher intern at Papermaker Preschool, assisting with lesson plans, activities, and daily classroom routines.
In addition, I’ve provided childcare for multiple families over the years and was the go-to babysitter at my church. I’m comfortable with meal prep, diaper changes, naps, bedtime routines, and light household help. I’m dependable, nurturing, and attentive to each child’s individual needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing a mix of creative, active, and educational activities with kids. Some of my favorites include reading books together, arts and crafts, coloring, and simple DIY projects. I enjoy outdoor play like walks, playground time, bubbles, and chalk. I also like helping with age-appropriate learning activities such as puzzles, shape and color games, music, and singing.
For toddlers, I enjoy imaginative play, sensory activities, building with blocks, and working on routines like mealtime, nap time, and potty training. I also love involving kids in small tasks like helping clean up or “helping” with cooking to build independence and confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...
What’s most important to me is creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel loved, supported, and free to be themselves. I value building trust with both the kids and their family, being dependable, and helping children grow through play, learning, and positive guidance. I also believe in being flexible, patient, and attentive to each child’s unique needs while supporting the family in any way I can.
My experience with special needs children...
While my direct experience working with children with special needs is limited, I am patient, compassionate, and eager to learn. I understand the importance of following individual routines, communicating clearly, and providing a calm, supportive environment. I am open to guidance from parents, willing to adapt to each child’s unique needs, and committed to learning new strategies to provide the best care possible. My background in child development has given me a strong foundation in understanding different learning styles and behaviors, and I approach every child with kindness, respect, and flexibility.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is when a child starts to feel comfortable with me and comes out of their shy phase. Seeing that trust build over time is incredibly rewarding. I love watching their personalities bloom—whether that’s becoming more talkative, showing their sense of humor, or confidently expressing what they like and don’t like. Being someone a child feels safe opening up to is one of the most special parts of being a nanny, and it means so much to me to be part of that growth.
