More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to being a dedicated Nanny, I have 8+ combined years of experience as a private in home CNA-Nanny (Certified Nursing Assistant), as well as a CNA in a pediatric hospital setting at Seattle Children's Hospital. On top of this, I also have been blessed to in those same 8+ combined years to have devoted experience as a Lead Preschool and Kindergarten Teacher, as well as a Lead Infant and Toddler Teacher. Aside from these, I have my own two young children, who bring the most real life experience in child rearing :-)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating days that feel both joyful and meaningful for children. Whether we’re outside exploring nature trails, collecting leaves and rocks, planting in the garden, or simply playing in the fresh air, I try to nurture a sense of curiosity and calm. Inside, I enjoy guiding age-appropriate creative play—like sensory bins, simple crafts, imaginative storytelling, and music or movement activities that support healthy development. I also love sharing little learning moments throughout the day, from practicing early language and motor skills to encouraging independence and confidence in ways that feel gentle and supportive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite and most important part about being a nanny to me is knowing I am unconditionally there for the child and their family, the privilege of being part of a child’s world as they grow, learn, and discover who they are. I love witnessing those little moments—when something finally “clicks,” when their imagination takes off, or when they feel safe enough to express their feelings and be fully themselves. Being able to support their development with gentle guidance, meaningful routines, and nature-inspired play feels incredibly fulfilling. And knowing I’m also supporting the whole family’s rhythm and wellbeing makes the work feel purposeful on a deeper level. Each day brings something new, and I genuinely cherish the connection we build along the way.
My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive experience working with children with all ranges of special needs. I’ve worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in home to special needs children as well as in a pediatric hospital setting at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was with a little toddler who had just begun discovering the world beyond their routine. We were outside on a quiet morning walk when they stopped in front of a patch of wildflowers—absolutely mesmerized. They gently touched a petal, looked up at me with this huge, amazed smile, and it felt like we had stepped into their own little moment of magic.
We ended up spending nearly twenty minutes there, counting flowers, feeling textures, listening to bees, and talking about colors. It was such a simple moment, but it showed me how naturally children connect with the world when we slow down with them. Later that day, the family told me how grateful they were to have someone who notices and nurtures those kinds of moments with their child. Experiences like that—where a child’s curiosity opens up and the family feels supported—are exactly why I love what I do.
