Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I am currently employed as a lead pre-k teacher at a childcare facility that specializes in early child development. I have experience in caring for children with special needs including Autism, spina bifida, and ADHD/ADD.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…Arts and crafts, introduction of math, beginners reading, the focus of independence, and speech development.
The most important part about being a nanny…Being someone a child looks up too, someone they can trust and feel comfortable with.
My experience with special needs children…I’ve worked with multiple children with various mental and physical special needs including, Autism, spina bifida, and ADHD/ADD.
My favorite nanny moment…I cherish all the moments I have with my kids, however a moment that I was blessed to be able to share was when I worked with a child that was wheelchair bound she would watch her friends play yet would be fearful of engaging in water activities due to getting herself wet ...later in the day we did water play!, I gave her a crayon water sprayer and she spayed all of her friends it made me so happy to see her finally feeling like herself not only was she having a blast, but her friends found a way to include her without getting her wet and still having fun! Her smile was so beautiful, Im forever thankful I was able to witness her being apart of something!
