Loving the kids as if they were my own. Respecting the parents wishes. Being communicative. Sending hourly/bi-hourly updates to allow parents to be at ease. Be respectful and understand the basic rules of the home.

I work in the field of ABA so I work with special needs kids and have been in the field for 5 years. I have been babysitting since I was 15 years old and I am now 27 years old.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I currently babysit occasionally for two separate families. And I would say the funniest moment for me was when I was watching a set of girls still younger than 3 The older one was eating dinner nd the other one was a baby, and I was carrying her. I turned around and I just hear the kiddo laughing, and I look at her, and she has put in a bunch of rice all over her cheek to try and make me laugh.
She was making a mess, but she's actually one of the cleanest eaters. I've seen. I still laughed because she was trying to be funny with me 🤣She wanted to put some on top of her lip right below her nose but I had to stop her from that because I didnt want anything stuck up her nose of course 🤣🤣
