More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working as a nanny and babysitter in private homes for over 10 years
Assisting in early childhood education settings, supporting children’s developmental activities
Volunteering or helping in community programs focused on child care and support
Providing hands-on care as a dedicated mom for 5 years

These experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of children’s needs and how to create a safe, nurturing environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Creative arts and crafts projects
Outdoor play and nature exploration
Educational games that promote learning and development
Cooking simple, fun snacks together
Music, singing, and dancing to boost energy and mood

The most important part about being a nanny...

Honestly, it’s just being there … really being present and showing the kids you care. Kids can tell when you’re genuine or just going through the motions. When they feel safe and loved, everything else falls into place. Plus, making sure the parents can trust you to have their back? That’s huge. It’s about being someone the whole family can count on.

My experience with special needs children...

I am comfortable and confident caring for children with ADHD and similar attention or behavioral challenges. I understand the importance of patience, structure, and clear communication to help children feel supported and succeed. My nurturing approach helps create a calm and positive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time, I was trying to get a toddler to eat their veggies, and after some serious negotiating, they finally agreed only to announce, “I’m just eating them because you’re my best friend.” I almost burst out laughing! Who knew bribing with friendship would work better than snacks? Moments like that remind me that a little humor and patience go a long way in this job.

Owasra A. - Seeking Work in Philadelphia

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Philadelphia, PA: Owasra A.

Hello.
My name is Owasra. I am originally from Togo West Africa, and I'm bilingual French - English.

Growing up, I spent my summers looking after my nieces and nephews back home, and I have been a nanny since 2017.

I'm currently working with an amazing 7-month-old boy. As he's starting daycare in September, I'm looking for a new family.

Prior to this, I was with a beautiful baby girl, 4 to 21-month-old, and left when she was started daycare.

I've previously worked with a sweet little boy for 3 years before he started PreK.

Helped out with 2 beautiful twin girls age 4 mo. till they turned 1.

And before all this, I worked for my sister for about 1 year when my niece was born in 2017.

During my time as a student at Temple University, I interned at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Dream Program working with kids of all ages.

Looking forward to meeting your beautiful family and see how I could help out with your needs.
