More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most recently I was a caregiver for my great grandmother that recently passed away on hospice. I have 8 plus years experience in childcare, also experience in companionship care. I've been caring for children for over 10 years as I have children of my own who just makes life so fun and fresh. I have experience with children with special needs as I have two of my own, we've done feeding tubes such as g-tubes and ng-tubes breathing machines heart monitors ect my warrior babies ❤️ in my spare time I volunteer at the INDIANA DOWN SYNDROME ORGANIZATION as well as the YMCA OF GREATER INDIANA helping peoples especially children is my passion.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts are my favorite, finger painting diy holiday gifts, I also enjoy baking with the little ones especially cookies. I always have believed a little sunshine can go a long ways so I absolutely enjoy being outside with the children where they can be free, run around and be silly get all of their wiggles and yelling out. Taking my children to the zoo, the canal, the children's mesume is always enjoyable but their favorite is Holiday Park and Connor Prairie. To wind everything down after a long day story time or reading is always a win. I believe it helps the children to relax and their minds to explore their imagination.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is to learn the family and child/children and support their needs in the best way possible. Building bonds while helping along the way.

My experience with special needs children...

I have very person experience with special needs child as I have two of my own with Down Syndrome and one with autism. We've been through heart surgeries feeding tubes ear tunes hearing aids therapist and plastic surgeons just to name a few. I have gained so much patience and understanding and children with special needs just need a little extra support love and care and are so capable of anything anyone else is.
