My first experience working with kids was back when I was about 10 years old. My mom used to run her own in-home day care and I would help out by entertaining the kids with different games indoors and outdoors.
I’ve volunteered at Precious Lambs Preschool located in Grace Lutheran School in Portland, OR. There, I would help prep snacks, escort kids to the bathrooms, monitor and play with kids, and help with quiet/nap times!
I’ve volunteered at Grace Lutheran School’s summer soccer day camp. There, I helped as an assistant coach where I worked with kids who needed extra guidance and encouragement.
I’ve volunteered at GCCF in Gladstone OR. There, I was an interactive recess monitor and classroom assistant who loved to make sure every kid felt included and heard. I played plenty of games and worked to teach kids to read and write.
