"Renée is a wonderful nanny. She cared for our infant for a year and we would gladly rehire her! She was always very caring and patient with our child. She had fun activities and crafts planned. She helped her grow and learn. She was mindful of our daughter’s developmental milestones and we saw our daughter go from struggling during tummy time to walking in a matter of months! She also made sure to sing to our baby and she was always engaging with her. My wife and I usually work from home, but whenever we had meetings we always felt comfortable leaving our daughter with her. She’s very trustworthy, transparent, and responsible. Our daughter is in daycare now but we would definitely rehire her and she still babysits for us occasionally too! Additionally, I am well versed in Montessori learning techniques and gentle parenting. I have maintained a no-phone policy during my 50+ hours per week working as a classroom assistant. This involved outdoor sessions like yoga, and indoor engagement via stations, imaginative storytelling, and creative crafts. I supervised naps, after-school care, and ensured tidiness before departure. I use my daycare experience to shape the way that I interact, and teach children in this profession.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts with children, and can teach them how to draw simple pictures if desired. I also do sensory activities with all ages (sensory bins, montessori, sandbox). I love playing outside with children, swimming, going on walks to the park etc. I can play soccer, basketball, cheerleading, tennis , and even archery.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most about being a nanny is providing a compassionate environment where the child feels that they can be heard. It is important to respect their autonomy and give them their independence, so that they can blossom into the individual that they want to be. My goal is to always be a safe space for every child I provide care to. I provide them with a compassionate and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow to be whoever they would like to be, all in alignment with the parents' wishes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love having dance parties and singing with children! Anything involving exercise, movement, or just going outside is always my favorite part of the day. Whether it be a stroller walk or a trip to the park or museum, I enjoy seeing every child I work with interact with nature and learn about the world. I also love reading books about certain animals, or plants, and then pointing those phenomena out in real life on nature walks.
