My name is Sarah and I’m looking for a great family to nanny for. I started “babysitting” when I was 11 years old and have gone back to it several times in my life when I’ve been in school. I am changing careers from a state early learning policy specialist to an IT specialist and am looking to support myself by nannying, while I am in school getting my certificates. I am strong, active and smart (I hold a masters degree and have an IQ of 147). I am willing to do light house work, meal prep (I’m an excellent baker and chef with a minor in nutrition science), willing to help with homework (I’ve been a professional tutor in the past and have early childhood Ed credits) and creative projects! I’ve raised several children from birth to 6 but you are the experts on your own children-I would never discipline or do projects without your permission first! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a labor and delivery nurse in Chicago for two years, I have also interned at an outdoor preschool in Bothell. I have co-parented my two nieces, ages 3 and 6 since they were born.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing art projects, science projects, reading, playing outdoors, going on adventures really what ever the kids are into I can get down with and make it fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building trust with the children and the parents and being flexible—you never know what could happen so I try to be as prepared as possible.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for two young children with Attention deficit Disorder and have cared for my younger brother who is autistic for most of his life (he’s 33 now).

The most important part about being a nanny...

Back in Chicago I cared for these two brothers, 1 and 2 years old and after bath time we would run around (they were naked) and sing “so fresh and so clean clean, so fresh and so clean” as I got them ready for bed. It was the sweetest!
