In addition to my roles as a live-in nanny, I’ve cared for children in various capacities, including providing childcare at a luxury resort setting (The Ranch at Rock Creek), where I created safe, engaging environments for children visiting with their families. I’ve also worked as a lead daycare teacher, creating and implementing educational curriculum for young children ages 6 months to 5 years.

Throughout all my roles, I have taken on full responsibility for daily routines, transportation, meals, emotional support, and age-appropriate activities, giving me a well-rounded foundation in both structured and flexible care environments.

I love engaging in activities that spark creativity, curiosity, and fun, while also encouraging developmental growth. For me, the most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, stable, and loving environment where children can grow and thrive as their authentic selves. I believe it’s about being a steady presence — someone who supports not just the children, but the whole family. It’s also about modeling kindness, patience, and respect, while providing consistent care, guidance, and encouragement. I take pride in building trusting relationships with both children and parents, so the family knows they have someone reliable and invested in their well-being.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children who experience generalized anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation challenges, helping them navigate daily routines, social settings, and transitions with patience and calm support. I’ve implemented individualized strategies to help children feel safe and heard, including structured routines, emotional coaching, and providing gentle guidance through difficult moments. Although I haven’t worked in formal clinical settings, I am comfortable and open to supporting children with mild to moderate emotional and social needs, always working closely with parents to ensure consistency and understanding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was watching a very shy child I cared for become confident enough to make a new friend at school. We had spent weeks working on social skills through play and conversations, and seeing them run up to me after school, excited to tell me about their new friend, was a truly special moment. It reminded me how much nurturing relationships and emotional support can make a real difference in a child’s life. Moments like that are why I love what I do — seeing children grow and feel proud of themselves.
