A little bit about me

My name is Sherry Jones. I am looking for full-time nanny position. I am a former child therapist and have transitioned out of clinical work. I continue to coach a few clients on the side, however my days are entirely free.

I have raised two sons who are now grown and out on their own.
As a therapist, I am CPR and water safety certified, as well as a certified mandated reported. I am finger printed with DOJ, and my last back ground clearance was in November 2022.

Most recent TB test was in November. 2022 and I am fully vaccinated for Covid,

PLEASE NOTE: My rate is $25.00 and hour however as I know or economy has added additional stress to families I have dropped it to $20.00 an hour for one child. I would ask for an extra 2.50 for additional children. I request fuel reimbursement for times that I would be required to drive my car.

Also, I think it's important to have a back up nanny should I have an appointment or need a day of for personal reasons.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for children for the majority of my life, staring with baby sitting during Jr. High School. I raised my two precocious sons, cared for nieces and nephews, as well as my friend's children. I have worked with children and families as a therapist, which I loved as well as cared for a special needs infant and precocious toddler for two years during high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am open to playing with children, taking them to their games or activities and providing encouragement and support. I enjoy simple play with younger children. such as games, art, sandbox play, coloring, learning games, etc.).

The most important part about being a nanny...

My purpose in life is to be impactful in other's lives. This means not only the child but the family as a whole. If I can add value to your family, then I have been impactful.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a disabled infant during my teenage years for approximately one year. Her name was Crystal and she was born with a heart condition. She was never able to walk, stand, sit or eat on her own. She was fed through a tube that was inserted into her belly button. She breathed through a trach which required to be suctioned several times a day. She was expected to live for days, but beat many odds and lived to be 3 years old before passing. She brought much joy to her parents and taught them to enjoy life each and every day.
