The most important part about being a nanny...
Ensuring that all children are safe and cared for. I'm not a parent, but I can only imagine how difficult it would be to have to leave my child during the day for work/ other commitments. If I knew that my child was in great hands, with someone who genuinely cared for them and kept them safe, I feel like it would make the experience of leaving them much more bearable.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for 3 boys with Autism at once, and 2 children with Down syndrome at once.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was when the parent of the child I was nannying for called me and told me that she made Macaroni and Cheese for her daughter for dinner and she refused to eat it because "Sidney's is better." It then became a running joke that if she planned on making mac & cheese that night, that she would pay me to come over and make it.
