More About Me

My name is Susana Salvatierra, and I have worked for the Department of Education since 2008 supporting children with special needs, including autism, attention challenges, behavioral issues, and medical needs. I also work as an ABA therapist, helping children build positive behaviors and reach developmental goals. I raised my twin daughters on my own, which strengthened my patience, responsibility, and empathy. I truly love caring for children and am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. With no young children at home, I offer a flexible schedule, including evenings and late nights. The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was helping a child who struggled with routines successfully complete their entire bedtime routine independently for the first time. Seeing their pride and excitement made all our hard work worthwhile. A moment I’ll never forget was when a child I cared for drew a picture of the two of us and said, “You make me feel safe.” It reminded me that being a nanny is not just about caregiving it’s about building meaningful relationships.

Part-Time Nanny Available in New York, NY: Luisa C.
I’m someone who truly enjoys building genuine connections with children and being part of their everyday world — whether that’s through play, learning, or simply creating a sense of safety and trust.
I would describe myself as warm, patient, and very present with kids. I love getting to know their personalities, what makes them laugh, what calms them down, and what helps them feel confident and understood. For me, being a nanny is not just about supervision, but about becoming a positive and steady presence in a child’s life.
I’m also a native Spanish speaker and speak English fluently, which allows me to naturally introduce bilingual communication into daily routines if families are interested.
