Hi! My name is Teresa, and I’m an experienced nanny with over 10 years of professional childcare experience. I’ve worked as both a nanny and in preschool/daycare settings, caring for infants through school-aged children.

I’m patient, dependable, and caring, and I truly love working with children. One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is getting to watch the children I care for grow, learn, and reach new milestones. It’s such a blessing to be a part of their lives and development.

I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, crafts, reading, outdoor play, and outings, while creating a safe, calm, and nurturing environment. I can also help with children’s meals and snacks, transportation to activities, child-related housekeeping, and caring for family pets.

I have worked in both preschool and daycare settings in addition to my nanny experience. I have experience leading a two-year-old classroom, where I planned age-appropriate activities, supported daily routines, prepared and served meals and snacks, and helped create a safe and nurturing learning environment. Working in childcare centers gave me valuable experience caring for multiple children and supporting their social, emotional, and developmental needs.

I love planning fun, age-appropriate activities based on each child’s interests and developmental stage. I enjoy arts and crafts, sensory activities, reading, imaginative play, outdoor play, walks, parks, and trips to museums, libraries, and other local activities. I also enjoy creating themed activities and snacks to make everyday experiences extra fun and engaging.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where a child feels comfortable being themselves. I love being able to watch children grow, learn, and reach new milestones over the years. Building a strong relationship with both the child and their family and becoming someone they can depend on is incredibly important to me.

My experience with children with special needs has been primarily through my work in daycare and preschool settings, where I cared for and worked alongside children with varying needs. While I do not have specialized training in special needs care, I am patient, caring, and willing to learn each child’s individual needs and routines.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny has been having the opportunity to grow alongside the children I care for. I’ve cared for my current nanny child since she was just 6 months old, and she is now 5 years old and getting ready to start kindergarten. It has been such a blessing to watch her grow, learn, reach new milestones, and become her own little person. Experiences like this are why I truly love being a nanny and hope to find another family I can grow with long-term.
