Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a daycare teacher for toddlers and for infants in the West Seattle area, and began part time individual care for a few families I had met there.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to read stories, sing songs, and engage in conversations (even with babbling!) to encourage language development in young children during quiet and cozy moments. I also love to get outside with children to explore nature and engage in sensory play!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a part of a safe, loving environment where children can grow and learn confidently in themselves and their abilities! I greatly value safety, communication, and connection when interacting with children because I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and listened to in their early years of exploration.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have specific experience with children with additional needs, but would be open to the opportunity! I personally come from a neurodiverse family and worked as a caregiver for a disabled adult part time in college, so I have some related experience and an openness to learning more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Getting cozy for nap while reading stories after an active morning playing outside with the family dogs, little one insists that the teacher in "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" must be me.
