A little bit about me

After yeeeears of babysitting and nannying for several families (one for 5 years, one in the French Alps as a live-in, one for a family with 4 young boys….) I had two of my own kiddos and transitioned to providing care out of our own home.

I started managing my own little landscaping business a few years now but am considering transitioning out of that and into something that requires less paperwork and allows me to be more present with my kids in my off time.

I have my girls every other week from Friday-Friday and usually need to get them from school on the days I have them by 3pm. They have grown up with my caring for other children and are incredibly social and friendly little humans.

I very much value quality food, time spent outdoors and emotional well-being over materialistic endeavors. I wish it didn’t matter but politically speaking we do lean left.

I was a ‘Big’ in the Big Brother Big Sister program for 5+years, volunteered at a children’s hospital with severely mentally & physically handicapped children, volunteered at a homeless shelter to help engage young kiddos…lots of different experiences over the years!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Being active outside! Hiking, walking, exploring, geocaching…nearly anything outside. Crafting, baking, reading, board games and other activities are also fun. The more going on the better, usually.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve operated hoyer-lifts, used feeding tubes, worked with kiddos that were fully paralyzed, worked with kiddos with mental health issues and/or delays….
