A little bit about me

I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in the Caribbean (Island Hispaniola) from the age of 6 months - 6 years old and Long Island New York thereafter. Definitely not the typical Metropolitan narrative.
After High School Graduation I attended Temple University (Go Owls) to finish my BS in Biochemistry & Neuroscience with a Minor in History. Philadelphia is where I fell in love with working with children, volunteering at "Treehouse books" was my Tuesday & Thursday afternoon/evening jam, working on literacy, service work, Hw assignments & gardening was a high "of the seasons"! Real year-round joys. Bringing my love and frustrations of science, sharing academia, my journey with the Children, families, peers was a life-altering experience.
After I graduated, I Pursued my passion for science in a Master Program in Montana. Yes, Montana, a city slicker in Missoula MT. Long story short, my path led me back to children and here I am, teaching, growing & learning.
