Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While I was in high school I would volunteer in the life skills class that had kids with special needs. I also worked for the department of human services in Oregon and was a one on one nanny with a child that had autism. For the past six years I have been nannying even when I have a job because I love kids and always have enjoyed building a relationship with them and their parents.

I love going on walks, playing sports, playing board games, doing crafts, baking, and swimming.
My experience with special needs children...
While I was in high school I always mentored in the life skills class with kids that had autism, and Down syndrome most often. Ever since graduating high school I have been working in schools with kids that have special needs as well.

When I was able to go outside and play volleyball with one of the kids that I nannied every weekend. I played volleyball all throughout my life so it was such a sweet moment to share with the kid I nannied!

I have excellent references. I am neat, clean, tidy, organized, on time, and responsible. I am nurturing and child centered.
Right now I am paid salary. I get 2 weeks vacation and 2 weeks sick leave. I drive their car and they pay for gasoline. I live in my own cottage. I do not live on their property.
I am very excited for this new adventure, and it will be quite a huge goodbye to this Island and to these children who have me heart and soul!
