I had to discipline one of the children I was watching and had told them to go to their room. They came down stairs and they had drawn me a picture and wrote a note saying at the end can we hug it out and it made me melt.
Also I have one of my little girls help me sweep from time to time and I pay her to help me since I get paid. She’s earned about 10 dollars so far and she got to go to the store and buy a pop it she’s been wanting. She said it made her feel so good about herself that she could buy it on her own and that she worked for it. I think showing children how money works, saving and how you have to work for it. Plus the rewarding feeling of knowing you are paying you own way.
