Part-Time Nanny Job: The Beird Family with 1 Child

Hello! We’re a family living in North Portland (University Park neighborhood, near Columbia Park), and we’re looking for a caring, reliable nanny to help care for our son, age 2.

He is a happy, energetic toddler who loves to stay active, especially outdoors. He enjoys exploring, playing tee ball, and spending time at nearby parks. As he grows, he’s also learning to play more independently, and we’re excited to find someone who enjoys supporting toddlers through this fun (and busy!) stage.

Schedule:
We’re seeking care 2 days per week for 4–5 hours per day. We are flexible and open to:

Approximately 8:00am–12:00pm or 9:00am–1:00pm
Like Wednesday + Thursday, Wednesday + Friday, or Thursday + Friday.

Guaranteed hours.

This role is expected to last up to 1.5 years, until our son is eligible for preschool, so we’re ideally looking for someone interested in a consistent, longer‑term position.
Responsibilities include:

Engaging in play, both indoors and outdoors
Walking with him to nearby parks (all outings are within walking distance)
Light snack prep as needed (meals will be prepared by us)
Helping tidy up toys and activities after playtime

No household cleaning is expected beyond normal tidying related to childcare.

About our home:
We have two dogs, who are friendly and accustomed to people, though they can be kept separate if needed. Some comfort around dogs is important.

What we’re looking for:

A nurturing, dependable caregiver who enjoys working with toddlers
Some childcare experience, training, or early childhood education is preferred (but not required)
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Screen‑free, play‑based caregiving approach
Our son is learning both Spanish and English, so Spanish fluency would be great, though not a requirement.

Compensation:
$22–$30 per hour, depending on experience
If you’re a thoughtful, active caregiver looking for a part‑time role with a sweet (and energetic) toddler, we’d love to hear from you!

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Spargo Family with 1 Child

We're looking for a reliable nanny who will take part in the care of our active 10-month old baby boy. We both work from home and need assistance in the care of our son. We can be somewhat flexible on the schedule (days/hours), but prefer something consistent.

Minimal housework would be required but mainly general clean up after the kiddo (from meals, toy clean up, etc) and maybe some light kid's laundry.

We have an older dog who mostly sleeps, although one of us might need to let him out to the back yard from time to time.

We are both fully COVID and flu vaccinated and take current safety precautions seriously, looking for a nanny that is the same

Thanks!!
