Seeking a full-time nanny (live-out or live-in) to work at a lovely home in Sisters with indoor play areas, a big yard and forested area. We have a 2.5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl.

The nanny’s duties will primarily be childcare related; however, help with housekeeping and other duties is expected.

Provide a nurturing, and intellectually stimulating environment for the kids;
Manage feedings;
Plan, cook/prepare meals;
Change diapers, bathe and dress children;
Assist with toilet training;
Clean and organize children’s rooms and spaces;
Guide children to clean up after themselves;
Plan and engage children in developmentally-appropriate creative play and educational games/activities including free play, arts and crafts, music, and talking and reading with them; Encourage imaginary play; Avoid/minimize screen time;
Encourage physical activity, ideally outdoors (we live on 160 acres including forested area and a lake);
Reinforce rules and disciplinary approaches of parents;

1 year + of previous child care experience, including toddler care;
Certifications in child first aid, CPR and child care food handling;
Excellent and verifiable references from current/previous employers;
Must be non-smoking during working hours.
Must be vaccinated according to CDC recommendations and receive the annual flu vaccine;
Must have a reliable vehicle, auto insurance, and a safe driving record;

Dependable, professional, with strong work ethic and integrity;
A kind, calm and patient demeanor;
Ability to task-shift as needed as the day’s plans change;
Eager to learn new skills;
Able to give helpful feedback, and good at receiving feedback;
Avoid the use of personal cellphone or computer during work hours, except when necessary.
Show discretion in handling of personal and private family information.
