A little bit about us…

Both parents are self-employed and primarily work from home offices. We have one 1.5 year old daughter, live on some property, have farm animals and household pets.

We are looking for a regular household employee. She will help with household duties (laundry, cleaning/tidying and meal prep, etc.), along with care for our very active and silly daughter. Our expectation is for the caregiver to complement our loving, yet structured parenting style; provide screen-free, imaginative and outdoor play; and be dedicated to feeding her a well balanced diet. Spanish speaking is also preferred.

We live in the Henley area. The schedule is generally 8:30-3:30, Monday-Thursday, with the expectation that you arrive on time and actively help with laundry, tidying, meal prep, etc. during nap time (i.e. when not with our daughter). You may be asked to flex occasionally due to parent’s work schedules (but we would always ask you if it works for you first). Also, one evening per month and one Saturday morning per month could be requested.

A little bit about us…

I’m a disabled stay at home dad and I want to be able to have some time away from the kids every now and then. I’d love to be able to go out with friends on the weekend and go to the gym a couple times during the week. Not necessarily looking for just one person to handle everything so if your schedule only fits with part of what I need, please still reach out!

My oldest just started kindergarten. He’s autistic with some sensory aversions and needs things done a certain way otherwise he gets confused about what’s happening. He’s very sweet and curious and loves learning and playing. He gets bored very easily.

My youngest is still in diapers and usually naps for about an hour in the afternoons. She’s very cranky after her nap and needs some cuddling and attention while she adjusts to being awake.

I’m looking for someone to watch them occasionally from 4pm to 7pm on 1-2 weekdays per week, and from 7pm to 11pm on a Friday or Saturday night (not every week). This would mean alone time with my oldest during my youngest’s nap time, preparing dinner (everything will be provided) and making sure they both eat and clean up after themselves, reminding my oldest to use the bathroom, changing my youngest’s diapers, and making sure they don’t break the house. The weekend shifts would also include bedtime: brushing teeth and hair and tucking into bed. On warmer days it would be great to take them outside before dark; we have a yard for them to play in and they also love riding their bikes out front on our driveway.

Please no anti-vax. No smoking indoors or around the children, but smoking outside away from the children is fine. We have one dog; he’s a pitbull mix who loves cuddling and giving tons of kisses.
