The Mansfield Family - Hiring in Wood Village
The Mansfield Family
Wood Village$18/hr  |  2 kids
* Looking for a live in nanny to watch my two children (9 year old boy and 3 year old girl)  during my regular work hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays ), and be on call during my on-call hours. I work as a midwife and share call so have scheduled on-call hours, so you would know ahead of time your on-call schedule. My dad usually comes to visit every other week so you would have extra days off some weeks. Weekly working hours average around 25.   Due to the variable hours this would be a salary position.  Regular hours: Tuesdays and Fridays 8:30am - 4pm, Wednesdays 12pm-4pm. Average of 2 on-call days and overnights per week.  However during the summer or to cover other midwife's absences, overnight on-call may vary up to Monday through Friday some weeks and off call other weeks.  There are 3 week-long vacations this summer, so you would get additional time off as well.
* My son attends a constructivist school, and so daytime hours would be primarily spent with my 3 year old daughter.  I'm looking for someone who can keep her engaged in fun and educational activities, with some time outside everyday.  Ideally, you would also speak Spanish so they kids can learn it (I'm still trying to learn it myself).  My daughter enjoys doing everything herself, books, playing dress up, and rocks.  My son enjoys building projects (Legos, K'nex), rockets, airplanes, and drawing.
* Duties beyond providing care for the children would be: some cooking to feed them, watering the plants if I'm gone a long time, and possibly helping with homework/distance learning. On days I get called in to work, you would also be getting my son ready for school, driving him to school, and picking him up after school.
