A little bit about us

We are a warm and welcoming household seeking to fill a babysitting roster for our bright, loving, energetic, and curious 4-year-old, Hoyt, and infant, Cameron. Hoyt enjoys trains (and anything with wheels), puzzles, letters, numbers, music, and helping with chores like dishes and sweeping. Cameron is a very social and playful baby who loves "chatting" and exploring her world.

We practice conscious parenting and positive discipline in our home, focused on building strong connection with our children, helping them develop critical thinking skills and self-confidence alongside impulse control, and instilling a deep sense of safety in the world and in their emotions. We're looking for caregivers who practice disciplinary approaches that are in line with these goals, even if not defined as conscious parenting or positive discipline. Our ideal caregivers have a toolbox of non-punishment-based methods to address inappropriate or unsafe behaviors. We are not requesting housekeeping services, but we do ask that you help and encourage Hoyt to clean up after his playtime, crafts, and meals.

The hours posted are the regular weekly hours we need help right now. We have a few babysitters who currently have the schedule covered between them, and we are looking for backup support in case anyone calls off or has a schedule change. We will also have more shifts available as I start working more hours. If you're interested in supporting us occasionally for now, with potential opportunities for more regular shifts in the future, we'd love to hear from you!
