A little bit about us

We are a nurse family looking for a reliable babysitter for our sweet 3 yr old daughter. I work night shifts in the ICU, and my partner works days in the Cath Lab but he will be transitioning to ICU night shifts next month. Because of our schedules, flexibility is very important to us.

I will be home during the day and simply need someone to care for our daughter while I sleep before work. Our schedules should usually allow us to avoid overlap, but on rare occasions we may need overnight care for emergency scheduling conflicts. We are absolutely willing to pay a premium rate for any overnight coverage if needed.

Our daughter is easygoing and enjoys arts and crafts, reading activities, workbooks for writing and numbers, and watching Bluey. We do try to limit screen time overall, but we are realistic and flexible within reason. We’re looking for someone dependable, communicative, and comfortable with a flexible schedule who can become a trusted part of our family’s routine.

A little bit about us

About Us We're a busy, close-knit family of six in Oxnard with four kids ages 1–8. Both parents work from home, and we're looking for someone who genuinely loves kids and wants to be a consistent, trusted presence in our home. Our kids are playful, energetic, and full of personality, no two days look the same!
Hours We're flexible, but the typical weekly schedule looks like:
Friday evenings
1–2 weekday shifts (shifts generally run 12–4 PM or 4–8 PM)
Some days you'll have all four kids; other days just a couple, depending on sports schedules and summer camps. We're also open to occasional additional days as needed.
What We're Looking For
Energetic, creative, and genuinely kid-loving
Reliable and consistent — someone we can count on week to week
Experienced with multiple age groups, including infants
Comfortable keeping kids engaged and active
CPR/First Aid certified (preferred)
Local references preferred
Responsibilities
Supervising and engaging kids during playtime
Light meal prep for the kids
Light clean-up after meals and activities
Maintaining a safe, fun environment
Occasional family outings to local parks or the beach (a big plus!)
A Note From Us We're not looking for someone to just watch the kids — we want someone who will play with them, connect with them, and feel like part of our family. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
