A little bit about us

We are looking for a Nanny/Babysitter to watch our daughters while we are working or resting. We may also need assistance on the occasional date night. I work days and my husband works nights so he will be home most days sleeping for his night shift, while I am working. We were juggling our one daughter but just welcomed our second child. I am currently on maternity leave but will be unable to consistently work from home when I return to work. Our oldest is 18 months and our youngest is 1 month old. We should not need consistent assistance until mid-late Sept 2025. Our oldest was a 27w premie so she is not as far along as your typical 18month old baby, but she is progressing very well. She is feisty and a little stubborn, but very affectionate. She is walking but likes to crawl more. There would be some playtime, feedings/ preparing snacks and putting her down for a nap and of course diaper changes. There might be some straightening to be done in her room as well but that should be minimal. Our newborn will mostly need feedings, diaper changes and some tummy time. Helping to start dinner or prepping would be helpful also. We are looking at approximately 2-3 weekdays per week for about 6 hours (Times are TBD) There might be opportunity for additional hours available if needed during the week or on weekends. We do have a dog that is in the home as well so there may be times where she would need to be let outside or fed. We will have 2 under 2 and this is a work in progress so we need someone skilled with infants and toddlers. We prefer minimal screen time but are not opposed to some screen time. We are reluctant to welcome a stranger into our home but prefer this to daycare as we want to keep the girls as healthy as possible. We are looking for someone down to earth, understanding and relatable with a kind, loving and gentle spirit. We are new parents and are still getting our stride and want to make the best decision possible.

A little bit about us

I am a choreographer, educator, musician, and community activist. I teach at Peabody Conservatory and travel for my work. My husband is the chair of the Jazz studies program at Peabody. He is also the artistic director of Carnegie Hall's National Youth Jazz Orchestra. So our house hold can be very busy.

There are times when the both of us travel out of town together for work (shows, performances, and master classes) and need someone who can stay overnight or for multiple days. Or have the flexibility to travel with us if that is something we need. This is not all of the time but it does come up.

We have two girls. One is 3 and the other is 13 going on 14 in June. Both of them are in school between 8:30-4pm. The 13 year old has after school activities. So we will also need someone who has a car that can pick the kids up from school and drop them off. Mostly during the week. Sometimes on the weekend depending on my husband and I schedules.
