A little bit about me
A little about me, I’m 19 and have been working with kids since as long as I can remember. I helped at a daycare down the street from me for 3 years. I’ve babysat for 5 family’s and still occasionally watch them when needed. I grew up with five sisters and one brother, me being one of the oldest I’m comfortable working with all ages of kids.
I have another job as a bartender so the hours would have to be a little flexible, but I’m totally okay working with you to get the best possible care for your child! (Or children)
I would love to help make your life a little easier and help where I can, that includes cleaning, meal prep and taking the kid(s) on outings if you’re comfortable with that.

A little bit about me
I’m a patient, creative, organized, and dependable caregiver who loves making each day fun and meaningful. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading stories, exploring the outdoors. In my free time, I love coloring, shopping, and trying new foods.
I’m now looking for a nanny position where I can build a more personal connection with children and families, work with a smaller group, and continue growing in a new and rewarding opportunity. My goal is to provide nurturing, individualized care that helps each child learn, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me — I look forward to the opportunity!

A little bit about me
My name is Kaela and I’m 28 years old. I am the second oldest of 4 and I was in girl scouts my whole childhood and those things are what started my love for caring for children. When I turned 18 I looked into para jobs in the school district and found one and have been at that job ever since. I have worked mainly with EBD (emotional behavior disorders) but all types of special needs.
I have a two year old daughter.
I have Nannied the last 3 summers with the same family but I would like to look for something full time.
I love building relationships with kids and I know it can be tough at times but it’s the most rewarding feeling to me.
I have 3 cats and a puppy myself so I’m comfortable with any animals.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Rochester, MN
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Rochester can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Rochester Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Minnesota?
- Do you have a Minnesota driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
