A little bit about me…

I have been a career Early Childhood teacher and nanny for many years. I have a natural connection with children. I care very much for the well-being of all children. I have a AA in Early Childhood Education and BA in Human Development. I have also done many years as a camp counselor, drama coach and ECE music & movement teacher.
I am moving back to Santa Barbara area early Spring 2024 and am looking to work for a family that will utilize and value my skills and dedication as a nanny. I am holistic and enjoy cooking/baking healthy meals and treats. I am fun and know how to connect with children on their level while still being able to set boundaries and be in charge. I am passionate about quality care and always go above and beyond. And although I may be older than most nannies, I usually run circles around younger teachers when I am at a subbing at schools.

"Grace was a full time nanny for my son from the time he was ~3 months -15 months old and she is the absolute best! She is incredibly knowledgable in early childhood development and was always actively engaging with him and coming up with new developmentally appropriate activities for him to do. Her number one priority is always the child, and it shows. I never once worried about leaving my son with her. He always had a huge smile in the morning when he saw her. Even though she had decades of experience Grace's would always defer to whatever I wanted as the parent. I felt supported and encouraged by her. I should also note that Grace is reliable, punctual and clean. She never canceled on us without ample notice (and that was incredibly rare). She was consistently on time or early and if she was going to be even a few minutes late would let me know."

"Katie is absolutely lovely. She has watched my girls for the past year now. I’m a stay at home mom so I unfortunately don’t get to call on her often but it’s always such a delight when I do. I always come home to a sparkling house and she even somehow gets the girls to do art projects ( gasp)! She’s also incredible with my newborn as well. I would recommend her to all!"

A little bit about me…

I just graduated from Westmont College in Montecito, California with a degree in psychology. I love to cook (especially breakfast foods) and stay active. I am also very passionate about mental health. I am the oldest of my family, so I have spent a lot of time taking care of my younger sibling and cousins. I also have experience working with special needs children as a behavioral technician. I know how to tend and adapt to a child's specific needs, and approach certain situations in a way that they will be most comfortable with and receptive to. I am willing to cook, meal prep, clean, or do pretty much anything around the house. I can also tutor children in any subject or help them work through any homework they have. I am looking for a consistent, full-time position. I get lots of joy working with children, and I would love to start as soon as I can!
