Looking for a Full-Time Nanny M-F 7:30-4 with some flexibility as Mom works from home!

I have a 3 year old son who is in Preschool 3 days a week. He is a very active boy, who loves to play outside, loves structure and fun learning activities.
He will need help getting ready for school, drop off and pick up on the days I might not be able to step out. He will need to be put down for his naps in a timely order and stick to his routine. We are trying to teach him to be more independent and working on zipping up his own jackets, helping with pick up after he plays. We also want him to do things outside of the house as we believe social skills are very important..

I also have a 1 year old son who is on 2 naps, has bottles still and 3 meals with 2 snacks. He is at the age of now needing some fun engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate.

Both boys will need their meals prepped and snacks!

We have pet, a Mini Goldendoodle, he will not need to be taken care of but will be home!

We want someone who has a background in development and can stick to our routine. We also would require someone to have a strong background on babies and toddlers development, who can provide a playful yet assertive environment. For example- our 3 year old likes to feel in control- if it’s time to go outside I will ask him “ do u want to walk or hop to go get your shoes on.” If he starts to tantrum, then we say okay you can walk or I will carry you… this way we get our outcome but give him a choice.

We do ask for the boys things to be put back and cleaned up by the end of the day. Along with wiping counters from meal time.

We are looking for someone ASAP !!!

I am an airline pilot widowed in 2020. I have a son, Oliver, living alone with a friendly golden doodle during 4-day trips approx 3-4 times per month. (He is a HS Junior at Neuqua) I would prefer 1-2 after school visits during trips to make sure homework is going OK, someone to talk to, and ensuring he will make or find dinner. He likes to cook, but is not always motivated, and will skip meals. He loves math and science, is very smart, kind, and sweet. His brother just started college at UIUC in Urbana Champaign. His mother used to encourage him with his homework each day, and would brighten his day with her smile and intelligence. He has a car, drives to school, and likes to shop for groceries. My flying schedule changes each month. I can try to bid my schedule to ensure weekends off, or any other important dates. You must have some flexibility in your schedule. Visits would be from 3-4PM to 5-6PM 1-2 days when I am away. 6-8 visits per month. If those times do not always work, an evening visit for a couple hours would be nice, just to make sure he is doing well. Duties might also include helping load the dishwasher, and keeping things tidy in the kitchen. You could both do homework together during visits. He does a great job keeping dishes clean and keeping our house in order. I think my son gets sad and lonely being in charge of the house while I am away. I think a college-aged nanny would be someone he could relate to, and be inspired to work hard academically, and stay motivated to move forward in life, after our tragic loss. We live in Ashbury with a safe neighborhood and nice back yard. If you have a flexible schedule, friendly personality, and can help my son feel a little better when I am away, we might be able to work together. Michael
