A little bit about me…

My mother is an in-home daycare provider, and so I was raised in a daycare facility. I was often charged with care of the center (ranging from 3 children to 12), and was willingly out-sourced to these families when evening or weekend care was needed. 1999: I was 10 years old when I began my first regular babysitting job, working for a family of three for a few afternoons each week. 2002-2003: I babysat regularly evenings and nights for a family of three, as well as other irregular services for other families. 2002-2004: I taught swimming lessons for multiple ages, with varying sizes of classes, during the summer and fall seasons at the local community center. 2004: I spent the summer providing 24 hour shifts of child care every third day for three lovely girls, aged 2, 5, and 7. 2006: I spent spring and summer babysitting three evenings per week, with occasional weekends, for a 6 month old girl and a ten year old boy. 2007-2010: I babysat regularly for two college professors. 2010-present: I am currently teaching at a private elementary school in Northern California. I am also earning a Master and Teaching at the University of Portland, to be completed August of 2012.
