A little bit about me

Hey there, my name is Carmen. I used to be a tax accountant for Dutch Bros Coffee, but I have finally come to terms with the fact that accounting is not for me. I do not have previous nanny experience, but I am more than familiar taking care of others and being attentive to special needs. I recently was a full-time live-in caretaker for my non-bio grandpa who had stage four lymphoma. That experience not only proved to me that I feel an affirming sense of purpose when I am directly caring for another, but that I do really well despite the unique stressors that come with. My biggest passions are cooking from scratch foods and making ceramics. I graduated from SOU in 2018 with a degree in Psychology where I served my senior capstone at Maslow Project in their art studio with an emphasis in art therapy. I know enough Spanish to get by, but I do not consider myself fluent yet. I received my Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certificate on July 31st 2021.

A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Emily, I’m 18 years old, I enjoy hiking and reading. I’m currently finishing my prerequisites at RCC to apply for the nursing program held at SOU. I have three little brothers, who I used to babysit a lot while still living at home so I feel as though I’m prepared and feel confident to to take on a role like this, even though I’ve never professionally babysat. I currently work at a restaurant in Medford but am hoping to get out of the food service industry all together soon.

A little bit about me

Hi! I am a toddler momma to a two year old. I thrive in a structured environment. I love to cook and bake. I have worked very hard with my daughter to teach her mannerisms, patience, and how to count, talk and sing. I believe in gentle communication with kids. I believe kids are very smart and deserve to be treated respectfully with guidance. We enjoy days at the park, children’s museum, or pool etc. I believe outdoor play is a huge development need for children. I’ve worked in daycare atmospheres before but prefer to help families out individually as it gives me more time to spend with the kids. As a mother myself I’ve also worked full time before having my child in childcare and understand as a working parent you need someone that’s able to provide fun as well as learning and someone you can trust. I am excited to get to know some people and pick the best fit for my family and yours. :)
