Primary Responsibilities:
• Child Development: Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including reading, sensory play, outdoor exploration, and arts/crafts.
• Routine Management: Maintain consistency with nap schedules, potty training, and meal times.
• Nutrition: Prepare healthy breakfast, lunches, and snacks. Clean up kitchen/dining areas after child-related meals.
• Light Household Chores (Child-Related): Keep play areas tidy, wash children’s laundry, and wash bottles.
• Transportation: Drive children to local activities (Cranbrook Gardens, Detroit Zoo, local libraries) using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
Current schedule for Miles:
• 8am - Breakfast
• 9:30am - Small snack
• 11:15am - Lunch
• 12:15pm - Down for nap
• 2:30pm - His usual wake-up time
• 4:30pm - End of day. Parent connection time to discuss the day’s activities.
Candidate Requirements:
• Experience: 5+ years of professional nanny experience (or 3 years + Early Childhood Education degree).
• Safety: Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Vetting: Must pass a comprehensive background check (Michigan ICHAT) and have a clean driving record.
• Qualities: Proactive, punctual, creative, and a strong communicator.
