A little bit about me

Hello! I’m Emma. I’m a fun, mature, responsible, and creative gal from the Midwest. I’ve had a LOT of experience with children from all different backgrounds: Irish, Italian, Dutch, and Mexican to name a few! I’ve got experience with infants all the way to preteens.

The child rearing methods that I tend to rely on are those from Janet Lansbury/Magda Gerber in “Respectful Parenting,” as well as methods from “Hunt, Gather, Parent” by Michaeleen Doucleef.

I know it’s important to find someone you can entrust your kids to and am excited to get to know each other to see if we’d make a good fit :)

A little bit about me

Hello! I have always been eager to be the healer, the caretaker, & the listener. I am passionate about well-being and helping others to be their best selves. I graduated with a degree in Outdoor Recreational Leadership in 2015 from Colorado Mountain College. Since then, I have been traveling around the US, Spain, Portugal, and India, teaching yoga & playing music. In the summers, I work for the forest service as a trail technician. My experience with kids involves nannying for a handful of families and have led/coordinated wilderness trips for girls ages 7-18. A big part of my life involves being in nature, eating well and expressing myself through different mediums of art. Also, I am willing to work hard in other areas such as house cleaning, yard work, dog care, and various other tasks.

A little bit about me

My family have fostered over 30 children ranging from 0 to 16 years of age including a child who was blind and had cerebral palsy. This invaluable experience made me realize that I would love to pursue a job in the future that involves children. I have been a coach at many camps for children ranging from 3-16 years of age, being responsible for over 20 children at a time. My last nannying job involved looking after two1-year-old boys and taking them to the forest/beach/pool etc which I really enjoyed. I have a degree in Psychology which I have found to be useful in many ways when caring for children. I work for the nanny connection on the island but due to the current circumstances, jobs are few and far between. I would love to work for a family on island and I am available to start right away.
