A little bit about us
Our 6-year-old has type 1 diabetes, so we will need you to be comfortable learning how to manage her condition while she's in your care. She will be in your care for approximately three hours, 3 days a week, after school.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daytime care: The majority of your time will be spent caring for our 3- and 4-year-olds while our 6-year-old is at school.
Engagement:
Play, read, do crafts, and create fun, age-appropriate projects. Outdoor activities are encouraged.
Routine care:
Manage diapering, toilet training aide, and nap times for the 3-year-old, and prepare and facilitate snacks, lunches, and bath time routine.
Child-related household tasks:
Prepare meals for the children and handle clean-up (including dishes used during your care). Tidy up toys, play areas, and bedrooms as needed. Fold and put away the children’s clean laundry, including the children in tasks when possible to promote independence.
Additional Preferences:
Transportation:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a vehicle that can safely accommodate a car seat and 2 a high-back boosters for school pick-ups 3 days a week.
Pet-friendly:
We have a very friendly, high-energy 1-year-old golden retriever. Baby gates are used to limit her access if needed, though once she gets used to you, she is calm during daily routines.
What We Value:
Above all, I want my kids to feel well cared for, so a compassionate and loving personality is a top priority.
Dependability is another key priority for our family, and we need someone we can trust to be present and engaged every day.
Healthy boundaries with our kids. We need clear boundaries to be clearly understood and upheld to help our kids develop healthy self-management skills.
If you think you could be a great fit for our family, we’d love to hear from you!
