The Ryan / Williams Family - Hiring in San Francisco

San Francisco$20/hr  |  1 kid
Hello! We’re looking for a nanny and second family seeking a nanny share, for our little boy, born January 24, 2021.

This is our first baby and would ideally like a nanny share with another family with a baby relatively close in age. Hoping to start mid/late August, although can be a little flexible with the start date. We would love a nanny share with a family who lives relatively close by and are open to splitting time between the two homes.

Our neighborhood is Forest Hill Extension, very walkable to Twin Peaks and West Portal, and a couple minutes walk to Forest Hill Muni Station. Lots of safe neighborhood streets for walking, as well.

The nanny position would be full-time and we would love to establish a lasting relationship that can continue for several years as our son grows. In August our little man will be 7 months old, and our nanny must have experience with infants. Because we’d like a nanny share, the nanny must be willing to work with two families with babies around the same age.

Our ideal nanny is reliable, highly communicative, willing to engage in activities to help our baby develop and learn, and generally treat him as if he were your own. We’re also hoping for someone who is bilingual, so that he will have exposure to another language. Aside from daily baby-related responsibilities, we also expect light cleaning and laundry. We’d prefer you have your own reliable car or at the least be willing to drive for activities at parks, etc. It’s important that you live within a reasonable distance from us (in SF) and also be certified in infant CPR & first aid.

Thanks so much for you’re interest 😊

Hi! I’m Dr. Bunny McFadden and my husband is Dr. Neil McFadden. I got hired as the director of a nonprofit and he works in aerospace. My job is 9:30 to 6 in the tenderloin. His is in Mountain View and his hours are flexible but the commute is 45-50 minutes.

Our kids are Tabi (Tabitha) and Arthur. They’re good and sweet. We believe strongly in being gentle and kind. We believe in vaccines. We don’t care about food (in fact, we DO NOT want someone who is overly health-focused because we don’t like diet culture).

The total hours would be about 9 hours a day. We would love the occasional date “night” but are super early birds and love putting the kids to bed, so anything outside of the day-to-day would be planned in advance and never late.

We would love someone who actually likes kids. We aren’t picky about screen time. It would be cool to have someone who wants to take them out and about, but we don’t have a car for that so it’s flexible. We live in a walkable neighborhood (near Alamo Square).

I’m Chicana and Neil is white. We want someone friendly to LGBTQ people because I’m queer. Believing BLM is essential and non-negotiable. I’m from a working class background, so we’d be comfortable with someone who is down with that.

More about each kid: Tabi is tall, sweet, and loves art. She can be a tiny bit sassy but is moldable and follows the lead of people around her. Arthur is a big kid. Like, really. He’s seriously big. We want to make sure he has someone who will teach him to be kind, because being a big tall boy might lead to playground conflict. They both LOVE animals, cuddles, music (!!!), and art.
