My husband and I are looking for a full-time live in nanny for our child that will be born February 2020. Weekends will be very light if not completely off. My husband works full time and I am a full time medical student. We need someone with infant experience but preferably who’d like to stay on for a few years as our child grows into toddlerhood. We are a family of 4 in the West Village currently seeking a live-out Nanny for our 1yr old and 4.5yr old daughters. Monday thruough Friday. We are looking for someone who can stay late on an as needed basis (1-3 nights per week) and travel domestically and internationally for a few weeks at a time. Salary and Benefits are flexible for the right candidate!
Daily responsibilities include:
Create a safe and stimulating environment for the children
Help with morning duties and breakfast
Create educational and fun activities/crafts/games for both children
Help arrange and supervise playdates
Dedicate time to outdoor play or time at the park
Drive or walk children to daily activities
Read to the children
Organize children's bedrooms/toys and helping with children's laundry as needed
Help cook and plan meals for the children
Help with bedtime routine and put children to bed when needed
Candidate requirements:
5+ years experience in childcare for similar age group w/ prior live-in and travel experiences
Education and experience in Early Education or Child Development is a huge plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability and experience to care for two children
Energetic, creative, and warm. Great with children and families!
Availability to work at least one weekend day or half-day per week
Flexibility to stay late as needed (1-3 days per week) and travel domestically or internationally for up to 3 weeks at a time
Flexibility to spend summer weekdays in the Hamptons
US Passport or Valid Green Card
Comfortable with dogs- we have one small dog
