A little bit about us…

I'm looking for someone to watch my newborn son while I work 3rd shift every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday nights, starting the end of July/beginning of August, so I can return to work from maternity leave. The hours needed will be from 10pm till 8am, my commute to work will be 30min one way, without traffic in the a.m.
I have someone else to watch my older son, who is almost 3, he sleeps through the night, but wakes up occasion for a bottle. I don't make enough to pay for both boys to be watched. You can also watch my son at my place, so he's more comfortable, I have everything here that's needed, the only thing you need to do is be sure to wake up to feed him a bottle when he wakes up and diaper changes, no light housekeeping is needed, which makes the job even easier. I will be breast feeding so supply will be available and each to access aswell.
I'm a single mom and don't have much to offer, the best I can do is $125 each weekend or $250 for both weekends, since he is a newborn and will be needing maximum care. I do have a cat, he will probably want to cuddle due to being very affectionate, if you don't mind, he sure won't either. If interested and have any questions, please contact me. This will be a long term. Thank you for your time

A little bit about us…

My wife and I both work in healthcare so our schedules are always changing. We work every other weekend. We typically need someone from 6am until one or both of us get home between 8pm and midnight. Depending on the week it could be 24 hours or 40 hours but typically 36 hours we would need someone. We have a 9 month old baby girl who is high energy she does not like to just sit and watch tv. She loves being outside going for walks or on her swing. We have done baby led weaning so she eats what we eat. She takes 2-3 naps a day in her crib and would need to be bathed at night and depending on which hours we work put to bed. We don’t need any additional responsibilities just pick up throughout the day. We have two dogs and a cat that roam about and the dogs just need to be let out into our fenced yard they don’t require but would love some belly rubs. A reliable car is a must if you will be going out to run errands or go to the park, library etc.

A little bit about us…

I'm currently pregnant, expecting a baby boy in December. We will need up to 30 hours of childcare starting in March, 2023. I know I'm looking early, but as many people have waitlists, I wanted to get the ball rolling.

We're a fairly laidback family and both my husband and I work, so we are looking for someone who can look after our little one during the work day, Tuesday-Friday. We're open to having someone come to our home or dropping our boy off at your home and picking him up each day. As he will only be three months old at that time, we need someone who is comfortable with changing diapers and bottle feeding (hoping to pump, but will use formula if that's not possible). We're open to "nanny sharing" and are excited to get to know you!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Meriden, CT

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Meriden, CT

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Meriden, CT? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
