A little bit about us

The Boudle Family is seeking a caring and energetic nanny to help look after our two young sons. Our eldest is a lively 2-year old with a love for outdoor activities and coloring. He's full of toddler energy and is sure to keep you on your toes! Our younger son is almost 5 months old and is a particularly happy infant who constantly adorns us with beautiful smiles. As such, we need a nanny who will continue to foster a happy, loving, and creative environment for them.

The position would require you to work three days a week, from 9 am to 5 pm. Please note that the work schedule varies each week, but you'll receive your roster well in advance to help you plan. Although one of us works from home, you'll be largely responsible for the children during these hours.

Our home also hosts an endearing small dog and thus, comfort around pets is a plus. Besides caring for our children, we would appreciate help in keeping the household tidy. This includes picking up after the kids, cleaning the day's dishes, and possibly managing some laundry duties. Don't worry – we don't expect you to take care of everything! We just need a little help keeping things organized.

We pride ourselves on being a fun and flexible family and hope to find a nanny who shares similar values. Our goal is to create a harmonious environment where everyone feels valued and happy.

The job offers an hourly rate of $17.00 and you can expect to work 24 hours per week. If you love children and are seeking a fulfilling role that encourages you to use your child-care skills, we would love to hear from you.

A little bit about us

My wife and I have to go to court on Friday the 19th from 845 until about 1pm. You can’t bring children into the court room, so we need somebody to watch our 10 month old boy. Hopefully we’re done super fast, but you never know. Would you be interested in hanging out in the waiting area with our baby while we’re in the court room? We would pay you for the entire time you’re there even if we’re outside with you.

What is an Infant Nanny in Vernon, CT

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Vernon, CT? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
