A little bit about us

Hi Nannies!
I am a professional firefighter and am having a little boy in February. My husband works a full time job and we are looking for someone two days a week. My schedule changes weekly but i know the schedule years in advance. Some weeks I work weekends only and will not need childcare. We are a warm and friendly bilingual multicultural French American family looking for a pet friendly supportive warm nanny to help twice a week.
It would be 6am-4:50 twice a week. Hourly rate is negotiable for the right person. We have two dogs and are open to doing a many share at someone else’s home or in our own. We are flexible and willing to adjust where we can for the right person. Preferably someone cpr certified and an Emt would be excellent too. Or a retired nurse. Feel free to reach out for more info!

We are in search of a nanny for our "will be" 7-month old son mid-August. We are first time parents and looking for someone reliable and passionate for children to help mold our baby. We will need someone Monday-Friday to care for our son. We would like someone to interact with, play with, feed and potentially take walks/get fresh air with our son.

A little bit about us

My wife works from home, and would like support during peak hours. We are (likely) only looking for temporary care - about 3-5 months.

River is 5 months old is very calm. She is entirely breast fed, and we have a pump and feed scheme working at home. The provider would support by bottle feeding and changing while my wife is in meetings. River's previous daycare provider could not handle 5 2+ years old and an infant, so we are looking for different care until she is a bit older. Monday through Friday, probably [phone number hidden] Thanks, Zach

How to Find an Infant Care Job in New Market, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in New Market, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in New Market, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
