A little bit about us

Hello, I am looking for a nanny or a nanny for my three children and my infant . I am looking for someone who can work 3 days a week for approx. 9 hours a day. I can be flexible about hours. I am also open to doing a nanny share with another family. My son will be in 1st grade and my daughter will be in Kindergarden during the day. I have no problem if the nanny wishes to bring their own child to our home. I am looking for someone who can pick-up my older children from school or at least get children of the bus. I am also looking for someone who can do light housework (children laundry, vacuuming living areas, and wiping down counters). We have two cats and a dog. Also we live in a neighborhood with a pool and walking trails, which the nanny is welcome to take advantage of.

A little bit about us

Hi!
I am looking for an experienced nanny to watch my daughter while I go back to work. I do not know my work schedule yet but I'm hoping to have the hours I need help between 9am-1pm a few days a week or every weekday depending on work requirements. The days/times might vary once I do get my schedule sorted out. I do work from home but have to go in occasionally. I also have a 2 year old cat at home but he is very cautious and scared of new people so he might not be super interactive at first. Looking for someone that is cpr certified, covid vaccinated and boosted, and overall high energy and loves working with kids. There might be some very light housework that I would also need help with such as bottle washing and cleaning up after her. I look forward to hearing from you!!

Thank you!!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Odenton, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Odenton, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Odenton, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
