A little bit about us

Hi! We are a family of 5- both of us parents, a 3 year old, a 5 month old, and the kids' grandma who would mostly be present while babysitting is going on. We aren't asking for much- just a couple times a month, to play games with our toddler and hold our 5 month old! (He is a Velcro baby). We do have cats so that must be okay!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a part-time nanny to care for our 6 month old son and hopefully another family to share this nanny with starting in Fall 2024. We are a relaxed family who love the outdoors. We live in South Minneapolis and have one large dog and two cats. Ideally, we are looking for 2-3 full days of nanny care starting at the end of August or early September. I currently work Monday-Thursday 9-5 and our ideal days for having a nanny would be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (or just Tuesdays and Thursdays). We would like our nanny to do some light housework like dishes/laundry and to let our dog out for bathroom breaks during the day.

A little bit about us

Hi! We welcomed our daughter Ayla in late December and are exploring the idea of a part-time nanny for when my husband and my parental leave ends in May/June 2024. We'd love someone with newborn care experience, a fun and positive attitude, comfort with dogs (we have a very sweet black Lab), and ability to do light housekeeping. Currently, we're thinking 2-3 days a week, 8/9a-4/5p. Pay between $18-$20/hr depending on experience.

A little bit about us

Hello! We will be new parents for the first time in January 2024 to a little girl. We're not sure what kind of care we will need yet, but are open to both full and part time nanny-shares during typical business hours.

We both work from home most of the time, so would be around, but will be busy working!

A little bit about us

Main focus is the 2 year old, looking for someone that will be engaged with him doing activities and playing rather than in front of a TV all day (we aren’t against TV on occasion). He loves being outside and is SUPER fast, so bring your running shoes! Would love to get him out of the house at least 1x a month to the zoo/ childrens museum or other fun places. I am breastfeeding so the baby is with me most of the time, I just need help with him when I have calls.

We have 1 Golden Retriever puppy and 1 Hypoallergenic cat. We have a fully fenced in yard and are just a few blocks from Kingsfield Park. My boyfriend works full-time out of the house and I work full-time at home in a dedicated space.

A couple side duties: light house work like dishes, vacuuming, swiffering would be great!

- Prepare and feed meals

- Lots of creative learning activities, and sensory stimulation for our little

- Stay active (get outside, play, move, etc.)

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Minneapolis, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Minneapolis, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Minneapolis, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
