A little bit about us

I work from home as a Tech Account Manager for a software company. We will need care starting Dec 2023 for our newborn child. My work hours are somewhat flexible so exact hours aren't known yet, but will likely be along the lines of 8/9am - 4pm.
We will have a 5th and 7th grader that come home late in the day (3 & 4pm) that will not require any care or supervision from Nanny.
We have a cat that doesn't require any care but mentioning in case of allergies.
Expectations in addition to infant care include light house cleaning such as cleaning up baby related items and some light dishwashing as needed for baby.

A little bit about us

Our first child is due to be born on January 9, and we are looking for a nanny-share from 3 months old onward, starting in April. Nothing else required besides childcare at this time, and we'd be open to taking our child to another family's home. An ideal candidate would cover around 2-3 days per week, 9am-5pm

A little bit about us

We welcomed twins in July and both work full time. We are looking for a nanny that is kind, responsible, and loving.

My spouse works from home, and we are looking for care M-F for the hours our schedule overlaps (roughly 9-3 M-Th and 9-12 on Friday). We are a two mom family and have two sweet dogs! Our kiddos are easy going and able to sleep through our dogs’ best attempts to let us know someone is at the door!

We do not expect our nanny to do anything associated with the household that isn’t baby related.

A little bit about us

Hi there! I am looking for a part-time nanny for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00AM to 5/5:30PM starting in March 2025. I have a currently three-month-old son, Thomas (born in October 2024). I work at home for a health tech company, so I would be in the home while you care for my son. I am interested in finding a nanny who not only loves kids, but also is a Christian. I am excited to meet you!

Sweet 9 month old who likes to be outside and play with everything! I work from home but need more help with baby now that he can crawl so I can get more work done. Morning care would be great for 3-4 hours but we could be flexible for a good fit. (We have a dog and two cats. They're very chill, dog might need too be let outside occasionally. )

A little bit about us

"Seeking a nurturing Spanish-speaking nanny to care for our charming almost 1-year-old baby boy. We're looking for someone to spend quality time with him for 3 hours a day, 3 days a week, between 10am and 1pm, while mom works from home. Your warmth and expertise will play a vital role in our little one's development, and we believe that your presence will provide a nurturing and supportive atmosphere. Additionally, light housekeeping duties will be appreciated. If you're passionate about creating a safe and loving environment, and are willing to lend a helping hand with light housekeeping, we'd love to hear from you!"

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Durham, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Durham, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Durham, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
